Failing to plan is a planning to fail

Failing to Plan is a Planning to Fail – Winston Churchill said it best.

Having wickedly delicious food prepped that you love when hunger strikes means setting yourself up for success.

When we’re hungry we tend to lose control. All we can think about is food… whatever food we can get our hands on  (here’s an article with the science behind it). Our brains are wired to want the greasiest, carbiest goodness out there.

So, the old adage is true, and we all know it. If there’s junk in the house, it tends to get eaten.

Which fortunately means the opposite is true: if there’s healthy food in the house, it tends to get eaten too.

Keep the good stuff around

Fudgy Chocolate "Nice Cream"
Fudgy Chocolate “Nice Cream”. Just a frozen banana with a ton of full-fat cacao powder & yum!

Surround yourself with healthy options, and you’ll likely be healthy! It’s that simple and that difficult.

It means effort; constantly staying on top of it. Grocery shopping with a list (and not hungry!), cooking big healthy meals on the weekends or a few times a week for leftovers for busy nights, and never leaving junk food in the house. Freezing big meals in serving sizes has definitely been the best thing that’s prevented me from buying junk because there’s always something good in the freezer.

Just like my awesome Fat-Bombs! My go-to meal replacement/dessert/munch-on-something mood/need chocolate mood/whenever mood.
